PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT
Psychoeducational Assessments are generally conducted to determine whether a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Disorder or other learning challenge, such as ADHD, is warranted, or if a child has exceptional/gifted learning abilities. Reports provided may be used for educational disability eligibility applications and educational or occupational planning for children, youth, and adults. Our assessments offer an extensive strengths and weaknesses profile with regard to various cognitive (e.g., memory, executive functioning, visual-motor ability, phonological processing, etc.) and social-emotional abilities that may also impact learning. Recommendations are provided to help individuals capitalize on their personal strengths in addition to accommodating for identified weaknesses.
Format: First, semi-structured interviews with individuals (and caregivers of children/youth) are completed, followed by a 3-5 hours of direct testing. Additional standardized questionnaires are administered to children, youth, adults, and parents/teachers and collateral information (e.g., previous reports, report cards, etc.) is collected and reviewed. Test data is then scored and interpreted. A complete report is prepared that delineates all test results, any diagnoses provided, and detailed recommendations. A feedback session is also conducted to review the results of the assessment. Direct testing may be broken into two half days if clinically warranted.
These assessments typically cost $3500.00 but can cost more depending on the complexity of you or your child's presentation.
BRIEF PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Brief Psychological Assessments are psychodiagnostic in nature and are aimed at providing diagnostic clarification of mental health conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, traumatic psychological injury, substance use disorders, etc., when there is no suspected personality pathology, cognitive impairment or learning difficulty. These assessments provide clarification and documentation to individuals and organizations for treatment and rehabilitation planning.

A feedback session is also conducted to review the results of the assessment. Please note that a more comprehensive assessment may be recommended following the interview if potential personality pathology or cognitive issues are flagged and disallow a clear differential diagnosis without further assessment.
These assessments generally range in cost $1200-$1600.00 but may cost more depending on the complexity of you or your child's psychological history and condition.
COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Comprehensive Psychological Assessments are psychodiagnostic assessments that allow for precise diagnostic clarification. They allow for complex differential diagnosis when it is needed. These assessments cover behavioural, personality, mood, emotional, and cognitive processes and their application to relevant domains of functioning (e.g., social, occupational, adaptive, etc.). They also assist individuals and organizations in understanding and formally documenting a mental health condition with a complex history or presentation. They are often used for insurance disability applications, legal cases, and/or treatment/rehabilitation planning.
Format: Semi-structured diagnostic interviews are completed with individuals (and/or caregivers of children/youth), followed by several hours of direct testing. The length of the testing session is contingent upon the referral question and the results of the diagnostic interview. Test data is then scored and interpreted. A complete report is prepared that delineates all test results, diagnoses, and detailed recommendations including additional identified barriers, needed supports, and detailed treatment recommendations. A feedback session is also conducted to review the results of the assessment. Direct testing may be broken into two sessions if clinically warranted.
These assessments generally range in cost $3500.00-$4000.00 but may cost more depending on the complexity of your psychological history and condition.
